Mrs.Ramavati Bhatnagar was born in a renowned and affluent family of Dehradun on 3rd of September,1901 Her father Late Sh. Durga Parsad Bhatnagar was leading Barrister & Philanthropist . She completed her secondary education from Wood Stock, Mussorie. She was married in a reputed and affluent family of Rajasthan her husband was a Railway Police Officer Late Sh. Balswaroop Bhatnagar, and she lost him at an early age, after this misery she decided to study further , at the time when Indian women folk have little or no excess to higher education. She did her BA from Allahabad University and her Bachelor's of Teacher's Training from Banaras Hindu University. For some time she also taught at Maharani Girl's school, Jaipur.
Her Guru 1008 Swami Bhawananda Giri Maharaj inspired her to work for the upliftment of the downtrodden, untouchables who were discarded by the society. Which could only be achieved by imparting education. For the establishnent of school and college she dedicated her life and sacrificed her ornaments and valuables. She was a freedom fighter and was also a true Gandhian , she was also a member of Municipal Board, Ghaziabad.
As the sage Ramakrishna Paramhans needed Swami Viveknanda to disseminate the essence of divine knowledge throughout the world. Similarly the lady who gave Guru Pitaji Maharaj's thoughts hands and feet was none other than Late Smt. Ramavati Bhatnagar, the founder secretary of the college. On the very auspicious day of Janamashtmi ie on 16th April,1987 she left for heavenly abode.
